First of all, I would like to thank Neha for featuring me on the Virtual Blog Tour (VBT). It’s such an honor, especially because her work is very creative and truly inspiring; If you are looking for a blogger who’s not only consistent but provides diverse content you should check out her blog as soon as possible. Here is the link http://forgottenmeadows.wordpress.com/
The usual formula for the VBT is to feature three bloggers, and this is not easy considering there are a lot of talented writers to be found here. At this point, many bloggers I know had already been featured, as a result I only had two people to feature for the VBT:
BenjaminSolak  : Are you looking for  motivation or words that will give you zeal to conquer the day? well BenjaminSolak is the blogger for that. His work makes you think about life overall and overcoming obstacles that hinder our day-to-day lives. He also puts a lot of work into his posts, and that is something I’ve always enjoyed about his blog.
Krista’s Blog : Krista is a very honest blogger, always relaying her thoughts and emotions about the world as she sees it. Her blog provides a new perspective to writing that I haven’t seen in others and I believe that helps her stand out. She devotes her heart to poetry and makes it no secret that she loves writing. Check out her blog, there is a lot of interesting content to be found.
Now the following are questions I’m supposed to answer relating to my writing process, this should be interesting. 🙂
1.) What am I working on?
At the moment I’m working on quite a number of projects. In my last post I mentioned the short-novel I’m writing titled Broken Pieces; the first chapter will be released soon. I’m also working on a set of poems with my friends, I’ve been looking to collaborate with as many people as possible over the coming months. This is in an effort to explore different styles of writing; I’ve always believed that I can learn something new by writing with someone else. (side note: me and ‘a very special someone’ are planning to collaborate on an entire anthology in the later future)
2.) How does my work differ from others of its genre?Â
I believe my work to be a part of me. Every time I write something it has to link with actual events that occur in my life. I might write about the moon, the sea or the sun, but an aspect of that will always relate to something happening in my life. Â The link might be in one sentence, but one thing is for certain, it always has to be there.
Â
3.) Why do I write/create what I do?
I write because I like the thought of someone else reading my piece and enjoying it. I especially love putting a little twist and witnessing the reactions that follow. I always want to think of something original; to make people think in a way they haven’t before. In the end, what mainly drives me to write is the joy it brings; my best form of escapism.
4.) How does your writing creative process work?Â
I usually brainstorm titles, no matter how dumb they might sound. From there I take the one I find interesting and leave the rest for later. My drafts are always hand-written, I enjoy having a tangible copy of my work at all times. If I don’t brain-storm titles I write what comes to mind, sometimes it works on the first shot; but sometimes, well, an editing marathon ensues.
And that’s all ladies and gentlemen, thank you for taking the time to read this VBT, it means a lot. Please check out the featured bloggers when you have the time. Enjoy the rest of your day. 🙂
