Kinship.

Walking away is not only for you

It’s for them, too.

You are literally saying: “I love you, but look at what I have to resort to, just to make you hear me; see me. Severing our kinship — because I don’t like where things are going. I’ve tried, but as much as I care you’re not dragging me down with you”

The hope is that they grow, and hopefully, gain enough insight to know why you left. Because Lord knows you would have tried. We can’t help people that continue aiming down.

“Never try to explain yourself to someone committed to misunderstanding you”
