The Line That Divides Today From Every Other Day.

Part 4 in the unnamed girl series.

Here’s Part 1, 2 and 3

*******

The thought of him no longer scares me,

His voice no longer gives me a glacial shiver.

Don’t get me wrong; I would never forget him …God, no.

It just so happens that the more I steer my vessel forward

I instinctively check the rear-view mirror;

And every time I see him, he keeps getting smaller,

And smaller.

    1. If its suspenseful then I feel I’ve achieved my objective 😅 I enjoy writing this character. Hoping I get another spark and continue her story, otherwise I might just end it here.

      I’m happy to hear you like the series so far 💚

  1. I somehow relate to this piece more than I should but yes, time just fades the memories and makes your vision more clear and it is vital to keep moving forward and this entire rear view imagery is just a wonderful creative metaphor for life. I loved this series and you exhibit amazing talent to write this character, to tread in her mental hallways and clean the spiderwebs, I would love to read more and more about this girl.

    Keep Writing!

    Stay safe, healthy and happy!

    Enigma 🙂

    1. Thank you 🙂. I’ve promised to only continue her story when I have something I feel she needs to say. Getting into her thoughts is exhilarating and at the same time exhausting. But it makes me happy that the series has been received so well.

      Funny thing is how many people can relate to her. It inspires me to continue the story and head towards its natural conclusion.
