Autonomy from peer pressure,
Leagues away from suppression
Or humility fueled by insecurity
And external forces.
An island OD‘d on controlitis anti-bodies;
Ironclad jurisdiction;
What enters my mind is what I allow
Not what you believe I need.
My consciousness unwillingly
Reached a new level with a few
Unspoken mistakes;
Through the loss of what I naively believed
To be my most valued possession,
My world got reformed.
Through a mistake, a spark was lit
As fifty thousand watts of light beams
Showed themselves from
The deepest chasms of darkness
That resided at the center
Of my soul.
A new level of awareness
Hard to describe, which is why
I find myself having to paint a picture
With the alphabet in tow.
What makes me stronger
Is not the belief that i’m better than you
No, far from it,
You’re far from the equation.
What gives me power is knowing
I control my own reality,
That my opinion of the world
Is something no-one can take from me
That no-one can convince me if I can
Or can’t do something
Unless I allow them to.

YES! You are the master of your own life – no one else. So please don’t consider this Liebster Award nomination to be forced lol. I would love for you to accept so that your writings reach even more hearts :). And yes, I know that you’re over 1K followers but I nominated you anyway lol. https://mindjobusiness.com/2016/07/11/the-liebster-awards-2016/
Awwww thank you! I’m so flattered that you thought of me! 😀 as much as i would love the award I was already nominated for it a while back lol and accepting it twice would be unfair as a blogger…but what I can do is re-blog a post from your blog onto mine (any of your choosing) hopefully giving you more traffic (send me a link)…. its the least I can do for a good friend such as yourself 🙂
I’m so glad that you were nominated already! You definitely deserve it. If you feel up to it, maybe you can nominate someone else that you feel is deserving :D. You can just send them the link to the nomination I sent you and tell them to take your place!!
Lol Thank you…and will do… so many new bloggers out there…never asked before…how long have you been blogging?
Just a little over a year
I wish I had time to be more consistent. How about you?
That’s awesome, how are you finding your blogging journey so far? For me its been approximately 2 and a half years now…just surprised myself a little bit there haha 🙂
The journey is definitely an emotional one but one that I just love. I think its forced me to evaluate myself not just as a person but as a dreamer and creator as well.
