Long story of
Insecurely humble beginnings.
“Don’t write it like that;
I don’t think they’ll like it”
Blindly nodding to stray opinions.
Is it still me
If I quarantine
And compartmentalize my thoughts
To what someone else
Believes is the better me?
Good or bad, any me
Is the me I choose
Over a genetically modified
By-product meant to impress
Recipients of my illustrations.

Support “REBLOG” Sunday Ep09: I can’t think of one blogger who can’t relate to this piece below by Original-Dante. The number of times I have stopped and edited my initial thoughts when writing is insane. When you get to the place where you write without thinking of your audience must be surreal. #NewGoals
Thank you for the re-blog Jo! 😀
You’re welcome! It was an awesome poem, I couldn’t resist. I decided to go with this one instead of the other one we discussed 😀
No problem, i’m glad you enjoyed it 🙂 🙂 🙂
Thank you Dorinda! 😀
You’re welcome! 😃
Responding with the words of Juan Ramón Jiméne “If they give you ruled paper, write the other way.”
Lovely Dajena 🙂 thank you for sharing!
