Visited pockets of myself
That I often neglect
Sorrow, tears,
Anger, Regret
Pieces of Michael’s set
An entire conglomerate
At any rate,
I’m inclined to rewind
So you take witness, of what it took,
For me to be here,
The pre-requisite grind

Take it a step further
And shed a few tears even.

Don’t,
Ever,
Drag me down with you.

Needlessly pressurizing myself
As though
The muse window
Is as small
As a needle’s eye.

As much as I wish
To take credit
For the tap dancing you hear
In the background
All praises
Are to be directed
To nature’s downpour.

Subtract the supposedly  bright future
And by process of elimination
Its a really dark place
Where the words and thoughts
Can take you.
The Area 51 of the mind
A dark zone
Unbeknownst to ones’ self
Well,
Until you rebirth the slick
With every bit of ink
In your possession;
Giving the canvas
The most elaborate tattoo.
Clad in white
Fighting the darkness
With countless lines
Coming from a fountain pen
Engraved with an infinity sign
I balance the spectrum.
