How much more proof
Did I need
To finally accept
That we
Were never meant to be?
She was my pillar
My everything,
But locking lips
With another,
That wasn’t me
Stopped
What was in motion
… What was supposed to be
Never became.
I succumbed to my vices,
My way
Of escaping reality.
Usually
She’d try to stop me, you know
Saying it was “harmful”
Made sense,
She was my angel after-all,
But now she’s gone
And I never found out why.
Its been years since then
And i’m still
Knee-deep
In immorality.
“Don’t judge me”
I always tell them
“Its who I am”
But they never listen,
All of them,
Except one.
I’ve only met her
A couple of times
– Not much, but enough –
For me to see
That there’s something.
Its not that she’s pretty,
Or other-worldly,
Its real simple,
She accepts me

Missed a post yesterday because of some personal but not really serious issues; but we’re back on track again with another slightly dark tale (well, I hope its not THAT dark). In more ways than one this part of the series has ties with (part 1); so its a spiritual successor of sorts (I will neither confirm nor deny that the woman in part 1 is either one of the women mentioned in this poem 😛 ). Please let me know what you think of the series so far in the comments section 🙂 would love to hear your thoughts and opinions.
Oh, and the lesson here is that…uhh…um…well…Black and white pictures really feed the theme of the series don’t they? 😀
For my Day 4 nomination I choose Kasim’s Korner. You can visit the blog here.
Later people! 🙂
